This morning, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission drew blood: Teva Pharmaceuticals will pay $1.2 billion to reimburse insurers, drug wholesalers, and pharmacies who paid full price for the Provigil, produced by Cephalon, a company Teva bought in 2011, because Cephalon had paid generic drugmakers to delay launching cheaper versions of

EVGA Steps Out With Custom, Water-Cooled GeForce GTX Titan X Graphics Card

When NVIDIA launched the GeForce GTX Titan X a couple of months back, I was impressed not only by the card’s performance, but its generational leap in efficiency, despite its GPU being manufactured using the same process technology as its predecessor.  But one of the lesser told stories of that launch was that NVIDIA retained control of all of the initial GeForce GTX Titan X cards to hit the market, which meant all of the company’s add in board partners were selling essentially the same product. Today, however, EVGA announced a new, custom GeForce GTX Titan X card, which features a self-contained liquid-cooling solution and increased clocks. EVGA is calling the card the EVGA GeForce GTX Titan X Hybrid. The cooling kit is being sold as an upgrade option for existing Titan X owners as well.

How to Bet the Belmont: Handicapping American Pharoah

The great thing about a horse race—and especially about one of the three races in the Triple Crown, and especially about the crowning jewel at Belmont—is, guess what, it's still a horse race. That means, we can spend years dissecting musculature, past performance, pedigree, trainers, owners and jockeys as we like, but at post time, we'll all still be faced with that delicious, sporting what-if.

Sunglasses are part and parcel for the summer season. They not only perform their primary function of protecting eyes from harmful UV rays, but also add oodles of style to any warm-weather look. Behind The Scenes with Burn Later Productions Filmmakers Paul Bernon And Sam Slater

The new romantic comedy "Results" (starring Guy Pearce and Cobie Smulders), the story of two mismatched personal trainers, is the fourth film in a series of character driven relationship comedies produced by partners Paul Bernon and Sam Slater (a.k.a. Burn Later Productions). Speaking over the phone from Boston, where the pair is based, they laugh when queried about their own exercise routines. 30 year old Slater, married to a yoga instructor, says he works out regularly with a trainer, but that his weight fluctuates when he travels and abandons his fitness routine for "the lure of a burrito." Bernon, 37, says he, too, works out consistently with a trainer opting for high intensity short workouts lest his active mind wander. "If it goes on too long, I get bored and jot down notes for film production stuff," says Bernon.

Roll Tide; Alabama Dominates List of SEC's Three Most Expensive Games in 2015

With summer almost officially here, every diehard college football fan is thinking the same thing: SEC football is almost back. Well, at least SEC fans are. While last year’s NCAA champion didn’t hail from the Southeastern Conference, the conference still boasts the likes of Nick Saban and ferocious rivalries involving storied universities such as Georgia, LSU and Florida. In 2015, arguably the toughest conference in college football will be out to prove it’s the best again, both inside the conference against its own inhabitants and outside of the conference in the College Football Playoff.

Panel Says Canada Should Bury Nuclear Waste Near Lake Huron

A proposed deep geologic nuclear waste repository (DGR) a mile from the shores of Lake Huron in Canada, recommended by a Canadian joint review panel, has gotten lots of people riled up. But located 2,230 feet (680 meters) below the Earth’s surface is a good place to put this low-level and intermediate-level junk, well below any aquifers or geologic units that supply surface water or that are hydrologically connected to the lake.

Google And Nvidia Shield Kick Off The Latest Fight For Cord-Cutting Living Room Electronics

I've been connecting digital devices to my TVs for over 25 years now and outside of a few devices, interactivity has been a "less than perfect" experience. Devices either did too little, did too much, were hard to use and setup, didn't have the right content or just didn't have staying power to be relied on continuously. Every few years,  the industry comes back and throws another wave of products into the living room to see if they stick. Google I/O, which was held this week, really kicks off what will be the latest fight for the cord-cutting living room between Google, Apple, Microsoft and their respective ecosystems.
