In trading on Tuesday, non-precious metals & non-metallic mining shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 4.5%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Horsehead Holding (ZINC), down about 17.1% and shares of Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (SID) off about 12.3% on the day.
